1. Introduction and Purpose 

This policy outlines our commitment to protecting the privacy of individuals who interact with our online services, including our website, applications, and social media. It details our practices regarding the collection, use, and safeguarding of personally identifiable information (PII) which is regulated by applicable laws.

We gather both personal and technical data to offer and improve our services. PII includes names, contact details, and transaction history. Technical information covers device type, device identifier, IP address, MAC address, location, browser type, operating system, duration of use, user behaviour, length of time spent on services, and frequency of use may also be collected.

Collected information, including PII, is important for customizing user experiences, service improvement, transaction processing, and legal compliance. Each type of collected information serves to enhance our services, demonstrating a direct link between data collection and user benefits.

We use security protocols, including secured networks, encryption and restricted access, designed to keep the information secure.  We also implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information designed to secure your PII.  Our privacy team undergoes regular training to stay abreast of privacy and security best practices, all with the goal of improving the confidentiality and integrity of user information. 

Despite all the foregoing security measures, online storage and communicating online is not one hundred percent secure. We encourage all individuals to provide only the information they are comfortable with providing to a third party, keep watch for communications that are suspicious and report any suspicious activity to us as soon as possible. We as a community can help keep us all safer. The risk surrounding the unauthorized processing of PII depends on the nature of the PII at issue, and the circumstances surrounding the unauthorized processing.   

 

6. Accuracy of PII 

We make every reasonable effort to keep your PII as accurate, complete, and up to date, as necessary. If desired, you may verify the accuracy and completeness of your Personally Identifiable Information in our records by contacting our Privacy Officer at the contact details set out in Section 11 below.

We may transfer your Personally Identifiable Information to our third-party service providers for purposes of providing the services to us and who are bound by contract to keep this Personally Identifiable Information confidential. Our third-party service providers may include: Website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our Website, blog, or applications, service providers who assist us in conducting our business or serving our users, administrative and technical support including cloud storage providers, IT support and data analytics providers, contractors and affiliates we use for storage, processing and deliveries.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. PII provided to our service providers may be collected, used, stored, accessed or otherwise processed outside your jurisdiction of residence. All information that is stored outside of your jurisdiction of residence is governed by the laws of the foreign jurisdiction, including access by law enforcement, courts and government agencies to legal demands or requests in other countries. 

 

10. Your Rights and Choices 

You have the certain rights in relation to your personal information. Subject to certain restrictions under the law, your rights include and may not be limited to the right to know what PII is being processed and by whom, for what purposes is the PII being processed, the right to correct PII, and you have the right to withdraw consent for certain information handling practices though this may affect our ability to provide services to you.
