PREPRINT
PrePrint is the term used to describe roll to roll printing of the outer liner of a corrugated container prior to the corrugating & converting operation. It is generally used in longer run projects and is most efficient when producing quantities of 10,000 or more boxes that require high impact graphics to enhance your brand identity at retail.
Most corrugated boxes are printed after the corrugation process and are limited to 1 to 4 colours at a line screen of between 60 and 100. Moving to flexographic preprint will allow you to enhance your design, add more colours to your project and print at 133 to 150 line screen to increase the effectiveness of your brand.
Another advantage to PrePrint is the reduction of the ‘corrugated fluting effect’ found on most post printed boxes. Overall flexographic PrePrint can offer you significantly enhanced graphics, often matching lithographic quality at very competitive pricing.
PTI has the only mid-web PrePrint press in Canada. It allows us to better register colours, increase the line screen and decrease minimum quantities to meet your needs.
