Maybe a shopper is interested in your organic crushed tomatoes, but the "organic" label is blocked by the new logo. See the problem?
Similarly, if you devise an elegant container that's nearly impossible to open, word will spread and the product won't sell. To paraphrase the old saying, form needs to work alongside function, not against it.
